Batteries

Q. Which batteries should you use in your digital camera?

A. It depends! If you are essentially using your camera where you have access to mains power then use rechargeables - preferably Lithium Ion (Li-ion) or Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH). If you are travelling in the wilds of Africa then you would take s**tloads of AA or AAA batteries (assuming that is what your camera takes).

Some cameras can use an external battery pack and some incorporate this in a handgrip that screws onto the base of the camera.

My Nikon D70S uses Li-ion batteries and I get over 2000 shots out of each charge (!!!) and then they take only 2 hours to recharge - pretty amazing.
